Blend 56 is a proprietary blend developed especially for use as espresso or a base in espresso blends. La Minita combines natural and semi-washed coffees from select fazendas in the Cerrado region to make up the desired profile. The end result is a blend that is balanced and sweet, with fresh noticeable acidity, flavor nuances of clean berries and fruits, and a thick creamy body. B56 shines in espresso preparation; it exhibits a flavor balance between punchy fruit and chewy nut, produces great crema, and has super long, lingering sweetness.

Working with farmers in Oku and Mbessa, Mocha Joe's own direct trade project has produced the first ever specialty coffee from the northwest region of Cameroon, Africa. Our French Roast Cameroon is an intense dark roast with a herbaceous, marjoram aroma and creamy, fragrant floral finish.
Through our efforts in Cameroon, we have been able to return thousands of dollars in organic and specialty quality premiums to the growers and sorters, as well as provide access to capital and infrastructure improvements in the region.
To learn more about the history and future of our direct trade project, see the Cameroon section in the menu and check out our Imgur photo albums for 2014 and 2015.

Timuza is produced by a group of certified farmers within the Timuza/Namura cooperative, with New Guinea Highlands Coffee Exports (NGHCE).
The group consists of 207 coffee families, who together farm 274 hectares. The soil is loamy and rich with volcanic ash, the weather is hot and wet year round, and the coffee is shaded by Casuarina , Albizia , Schzomeria and Stemona trees and vinew.
Coffee was established here in the 1930s, though commercial production dates to post World War II. The first plants were brought in by Lutheran missionaries, for their own consumption, and are said to be decedents of Blue Mountain plants.
