Mocha Joe's Roasting Company is hiring! We are looking for an experienced specialty coffee roaster to lead our production team here in Brattleboro, VT as Head Roaster. This is a great opportunity for a passionate specialty coffee professional to run the Roasting and Green Buying programs for this small, established Southern Vermont roasting company which continues to grow and experience the joys of roasting on a vintage Probat UG-22. We are seeking a Head Roaster with 2+ years of production roasting experience who will lead the production team, refine and create systems and best practices, and co-lead green coffee
buying. Primary Duties
1) Working with the production team, create a roast plan and schedule for the day/week.
2) Production roasting as well as packaging and shipping as required.
3) Order green coffee and maintain on-site inventories.
4) Source new coffees and sample roast for cuppings and purchase considerations.

Mocha Joe's Cafe lives on! We are thrilled to announce the sale of Mocha Joe's Cafe to local family Kate Barry and Bruce Hunt. Kate is a local Realtor and co-owner of The Collective Lounge & Bar on Elliot Street, and together they own and operate Oak Street Property Rentals. With their daughter Juniper they are dedicated entrepreneurs investing in downtown Brattleboro. They plan to continue the Mocha Joe's legacy with the same name, coffee, and culture that we've loved sharing with our Brattleboro friends and neighbors for 32 years. That means the same great fresh roasted specialty arabica coffee, roasted right down the street at Mocha Joe's Roastery (which will continue as a separate business still owned by Pierre and Ellen Capy). When we announced our plans to sell the cafe, we were overwhelmed by the outpouring of memories, love, and support for the special place Mocha Joe's Cafe has in Brattleboro's heart. Something we had long felt became even more clear - Mocha Joe's really belongs to the community here in Brattleboro. You all helped us build something special and we are thrilled that Kate and Bruce will continue the Mocha Joe's tradition of great coffee with a big heart.
